The Relationship Specialist II (RS II) is a versatile position that integrates various responsibilities akin to those of a concierge, RS I, ITM Representative, and Relationship Manager I. This role is designed to assist our members, whether in-person or via phone, to ensure smooth branch operations. Under general supervision, the RS II will direct members to the appropriate resources for effective resolutions or provide direct assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with members to identify their needs, propose solutions, and follow up on outstanding transactions. Conduct meaningful conversations with members both in person and over the phone.
  • Execute a range of duties, including escorting members to suitable destinations for resolutions, managing cash transactions, opening new accounts, and processing loan applications.
  • Handle various account maintenance tasks such as issuing and re-pinning ATM/Debit Cards, processing address changes, and managing account closures.
  • Recommend and refer suitable products and services, including Mortgage and Investment Services, based on member interactions.
  • Ensure branch financials are balanced, including the Teller Cash Recycler (TCR).
  • Identify and report any suspicious activities or potential fraud.
  • Complete all necessary training and compliance modules.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and Credit Union events, contributing to the achievement of organizational and departmental goals.
  • Represent the Credit Union positively and professionally.
  • Maintain confidentiality of member and sensitive information.
  • Foster a respectful environment for all team members and members.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, with prior loan experience and a track record of meeting service and performance goals.
  • Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and NCUA regulations, including BSA, Regulation CC, Regulation D, and Regulation E.
  • Comprehensive understanding of deposit account products and services.
  • Familiarity with loan products and associated systems.
  • Proven ability to generate business.
  • Genuine interest in assisting members through meaningful conversations, demonstrating empathy and care.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and manage frequent interruptions.
  • Proficient in PC operations and Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with problem-solving and organizational abilities.
  • Attention to detail is essential.

Education:

  • Successful completion of all compliance-related coursework.
  • NMLS Registration is required.
  • Notary certification is preferred.

Compensation:

The pay scale is determined by applicable geographic location, with a starting rate of $29.17 for Southern California.

The final compensation offered will depend on various factors, including the candidate's experience, industry background, and relevant training or education.
