Job Summary

Catholic Health Initiatives is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinic Receptionist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with medical records and other registration/scheduling departments to ensure seamless patient flow and accurate data entry.
  • Perform a variety of business office and reception duties, including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and registering patients.
  • Collect, verify, and update patient demographic and insurance information, as well as gather and code charge information.
  • Observe strict patient confidentiality and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Direct and screen incoming calls, gather information, and transfer calls to or take messages for appropriate staff in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Schedule follow-up and referral appointments, reschedule and/or contact orphaned appointments, and accurately record and update physician schedules.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to manage referrals and ensure that test results and consultation reports are received back by clinic providers.
  • Copy, mail, scan, and file medical information pertaining to patient records, following release of information policies and procedures.
  • Collect patient co-pays and issue receipts to patients.
  • Cross-train to perform basic clinical and laboratory processes as needed, maintaining proficiency in applicable training.

Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Medical office experience preferred.

Compensation

$15 - $21.465 per hour.
