Responsibilities

We are seeking a Part-Time Clinic Receptionist to fulfill essential duties within our healthcare setting.

The role involves collaborating with medical records and other departments to perform various administrative and reception tasks with precision and minimal oversight. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing phone communications in accordance with established protocols.
  • Scheduling patient appointments efficiently.
  • Welcoming and registering patients upon arrival.
  • Collecting, verifying, and updating patient demographic and insurance details.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality regarding patient information during all interactions.

Key Duties Include:

  • Scheduling services in line with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Accurately entering and updating patient information in the electronic medical record system.
  • Greeting patients warmly and notifying clinical staff of arrivals.
  • Handling incoming calls professionally and efficiently, ensuring excellent public relations.
  • Coordinating follow-up and referral appointments.
  • Managing appointment cancellations and rescheduling within a timely manner.
  • Maintaining accurate physician schedules and managing communications regarding appointments.
  • Collaborating with clinical staff to manage referrals and ensure timely receipt of test results.
  • Handling medical records, including copying, mailing, scanning, and filing.
  • Collecting patient co-pays and issuing receipts.
  • Cross-training in basic clinical and laboratory processes as necessary.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with prior experience in a medical office preferred.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $15 - $21.465 per hour.
