Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinic Receptionist to join our team at Catholic Health Initiatives. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with medical records and other registration/scheduling departments to ensure seamless patient flow.
  • Perform a variety of business office and reception duties, including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and registering patients.
  • Collect, verify, and update patient demographic and insurance information accurately and efficiently.
  • Observe strict patient confidentiality in all interactions.
  • Responsible for scheduling all services in accordance with policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Interview, review, and register patients, updating demographic and insurance information in the electronic medical record system.
  • Smile and greet all incoming patients, notifying clinical staff of their arrival and ensuring they are informed of any appointment delays.
  • Direct and screen incoming calls, gathering information and transferring to or taking messages for appropriate staff.
  • Schedule follow-up and referral appointments, rescheduling and contacting orphaned appointments within 24 hours of cancellation.
  • Accurately and timely record and update physician schedules, collaborating with clinical staff to manage referrals and ensure test results and consultation reports are received back by clinic providers.
  • Copies, mails, scans, and files medical information pertaining to patient records, following release of information policies and procedures.
  • Collect patient co-pays and issue receipts to patients.
  • Cross-train to perform basic clinical and laboratory processes as needed, maintaining proficiency through applicable training.
Requirements
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Medical office experience preferred.
Compensation

$15 - $21.465 per hour.
