Position Overview:
The Financial Reporting & Corporate Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounting and analytical processes related to various budgets, including employee compensation and benefits.

This role includes managing the maintenance and reporting of the organization's operational and capital budgets, as well as contributing to their development.

The position involves analyzing and maintaining cost data for compliance reporting. The manager will also oversee and execute selected accounting tasks in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.

This role entails performing a variety of financial reporting functions on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, along with other projects, which include preparing and reviewing reports for both internal and external stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the annual operating and capital expenditure budget.
- Administer ongoing budget and operating expense analysis, along with the preparation of periodic management and Board reports.
- Develop and implement new processes related to budgeting.
- Manage accounting and analysis for employee compensation and benefits, including monitoring and calculating incentive plan results.

- Support the development and maintenance of functional cost allocation and budgeting applications, ensuring data integrity and system functionality, while also developing enhancements and maintaining documentation.

- Prepare, analyze, and maintain cost data for compliance reporting.

- Take responsibility for cost data preparation, treatment, analysis, systems analysis, and related tasks.

- Participate in the preparation, analysis, and review of periodic reports for management, the Board of Directors, and regulatory agencies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and internal control processes.

- Maintain current knowledge of accounting principles and standards.


Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field is required; a Master's Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience along with CPA designation is preferred.
- A minimum of seven years of relevant experience in banking or financial institutions.
- Advanced understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, FASB standards, and SEC regulations.
- Proficient in budgeting procedures for evaluating capital expenditures and operating expenses.
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting systems (general ledger, PC-based, and other automated/manual systems).
- Strong analytical skills for developing factual reports through data collection, interpretation, and analysis.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to established guidelines and recognizing complex situations to propose and implement solutions.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.

- High proficiency in personal computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) and Workiva online applications is a plus.

- Understanding of employee relations and human resources management to proactively address employee issues.

- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
