Position Summary:
The Snacks Production Planning Manager plays a crucial role in formulating long-term capacity strategies for our snack production lines. This position is essential for enhancing cost efficiency, service quality, flexibility, and responsiveness. The manager will evaluate capacity requirements for new product innovations and oversee the scheduling of production and material procurement to ensure optimal fill rates and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive capacity plans for snack production lines.
  • Collaborate with production teams to establish operational strategies that optimize cost, service, and flexibility.
  • Assess capacity needs to support innovation and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Supervise production planners to ensure:
    • Fill rates exceed 99% for top customers and 98% for all others.
    • Maintain back order levels close to zero.
    • Align inventory levels with the company's cash conversion objectives.
    • Manage product transitions to enhance service and minimize waste.
    • Reduce overall obsolescence in accordance with budgetary constraints.
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning and scheduling methodologies.
  • Enhance team skills and foster engagement among team members.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience in a small company environment is advantageous; background in consumer products is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, independent thinking, and excellent organizational skills.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
