Pathway Montessori is a nurturing educational environment for young children aged 3-6 years. We are committed to fostering a supportive atmosphere where children can thrive under the guidance of a dedicated team of educators.
We are currently looking for a passionate and mature Classroom Support Specialist who enjoys engaging with children, is eager to learn about the Montessori philosophy, and is adaptable to the varying needs of our students. While prior Montessori experience is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite for this role.
The position entails a consistent schedule, as follows:
- Mondays & Fridays: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
- Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays: 7:45 am - 4:30 pm
This role is structured to ensure that employees are not expected to work additional hours beyond the specified schedule. This position is particularly suitable for individuals who may require personal time on Mondays and Fridays after noon.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree is required.
- Submission of a resume is necessary for consideration.
- Experience working with children aged 3-6 years is essential. Montessori experience is a bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the lead teacher by following their guidance.
- Supporting children in their classroom activities, projects, and creative expressions.
- Maintaining a tidy and organized classroom environment through daily light cleaning.
- Preparing the classroom for mealtimes and rest periods, including setting up tables and cots.
- Engaging in outdoor play with children throughout the day.
The starting hourly wage for this position is $18, with paid personal days included.
Compensation for the Classroom Support Specialist role is competitive and will be determined based on the applicant's relevant experience.
Holiday bonuses are also available.
Job Type: Part-time
Hourly pay starts at $20.00, contingent on experience.
