Job Summary

Hobart Service, a leading provider of commercial food equipment service solutions, is seeking a skilled Parts Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Parts Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient allocation and distribution of parts and materials for service repairs and customer orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate inventory control systems, including updating computer records and assisting with audits conducted by Company auditors.
  • Requisition parts from our Troy, OH warehouse, following up on purchase orders and correspondence involving back orders, and regularly updating files.
  • Assist in the training or cross-training of other individuals in the office, as needed.
  • Receive and verify parts shipments, matching packing slips with purchase orders and invoices.
  • Process Return Apparatus Tags (RAT) related to warranty claims and verify warranty and maintenance credits.
  • Assist with replenishing truck inventories and handling parts transfers to other Hobart Branches.
  • Provide excellent customer service, handling over-the-counter parts sales to walk-in customers, stocking and pulling parts, and assisting with various job functions involved in tracking consignment.
  • Prepare reports on order status, parts, and material shortages.
  • Stay up-to-date on new products and related parts required for various modifications, and keep bulletins updated.
  • Process parts mail orders from customers and handle telephone orders for parts, including writing up orders and quoting prices.
  • Follow up with customers and service personnel for availability of parts, as requested.
  • Write up credits for returned merchandise and handle telephone requests from technicians for parts.
  • Follow up on all pending credits and cycle counts/inventories.
Requirements
  • Accredited High School diploma, Business or trade school, or GED.
  • At least 1+ years of experience in parts or clerical roles, including ordering, shipping, receiving, parts sales, and inventory control.
  • Ability to handle competing/multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Preferably, knowledge and experience with Inventory Management.
Physical Requirements
  • Required to sit for prolonged periods.
  • Extensive periods of time on the phone.
  • Lifting 50-75 lbs with or without assistance.
  • Climbing up to 8 ft with a ladder.
  • Kneeling, squatting, bending, pushing/pulling.
  • Exposure to noise, heat, cold, slippery, and wet conditions.
  • OT as required.
