Key Responsibilities


As a
Structural Test Engineer, you will collaborate with a government-contractor team to strategize and implement testing protocols for full-scale naval platforms and related test articles.

This position is full-time and requires onsite presence.

Core Duties:
Oversee the planning, design preparation, coordination, and execution of testing activities, including comprehensive ship tests.

Your planning and coordination efforts will encompass test timelines (milestones and deliverables), task breakdowns into Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), cost assessments, and resource identification, including equipment, personnel, and specialized skill sets.

Additional planning responsibilities will involve conducting Site Surveys and selecting specialized sensors, along with the acquisition, recording, and other instrumentation necessary for effective structural testing.

Test execution support will include the installation of instrumentation, real-time data acquisition assistance, and operational test support.

Required Qualifications


A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Test Engineering, or a related field, coupled with over 5 years of experience in the planning and execution of structural tests for platforms.

A solid background in structural test planning, coordination, execution support, instrumentation assistance, and documentation is essential. Experience with naval platform shock testing and deep submergence testing is advantageous.

Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This reflects the typical salary range for this role based on experience and other relevant factors.
