Position Overview: As a Banquet Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests at Crescent Hotels & Resorts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the banquet area as directed by the Supervisor, including the arrangement of linens, serviceware, and glassware.
  • Participate in pre-event meetings to understand the details of the function, including expectations from guests and the hotel.
  • Welcome guests with a friendly demeanor and respond to their requests promptly.
  • Serve food and beverages in accordance with the Supervisor's guidelines to maintain consistency throughout the event.
  • Efficiently clear dishes as guests finish each course and at the conclusion of the meal.
  • Adhere to all regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages.
  • Monitor beverage levels and check in with guests to ensure their satisfaction.
  • After the event, reset the banquet area as per the Supervisor's instructions for the next function.
  • Maintain regular attendance and be available for shifts as required.
  • Carry out any additional job-related tasks as assigned.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in English communication.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with team members.
  • Basic understanding of food and beverage service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • Knowledge of proper table settings and serviceware.
  • Capability to follow written instructions for product use and safety.
  • Ability to remember and promote menu items effectively.
  • Physical capability to transport up to 30 lbs. in a busy environment throughout the shift.
  • Experience with beverage equipment operation, such as coffee makers.
