OBJECTIVE: Provides the customers with delightful dining experience from the initial reception until the final good-bye in accordance with the Casino's high standards of guest service. Required to be knowledgeable of all InfoGenesis/ACSC POS transactions under high volume of tendering.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in a casino floor environment which is smoke filled or a restaurant environment
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Always be NICE to fellow staff and players; find every opportunity to offer a friendly smile, wave and greeting.
- Reports to work on time, as scheduled, and in uniform; maintains a positive and cooperative attitude
- Follows department and casino policies and procedures
- Responsible for initial cordial reception to the customers upon arrival and the prompt courteous escort to a dining table; distributes menus and/or explains food items, such as specials or menu items
- Assists in answering telephones and making reservations according to departmental standards
- Participates as a team member with staff in producing a smoothly and efficiently run operation that meets the highest standards of Customer Services
- Responsible for seating guests according to established rotation procedures
- Has knowledge of all food and beverage health codes, and makes safety first priority; ensures that all areas are kept clean and free of any potential hazards
- Handles substantial quantities of cash with accuracy
- Responsible for receiving payment, making change and presenting a receipt to customers in a prompt and courteous manner in a fast paced environment
- Responsible for adhering to established cash control policies and procedures of the Casino and Barona Gaming Commission
- Must be proficient in closing procedures for all Club Barona player comps, manager comps, points, room charge, group charge; Master folio charges and any and all tendering processes associated with the Casino and the F&B Operation
- Completes all work duties in an efficient and proper manner on a daily basis
- Answers any customer questions and/or complaints and directs concerns to appropriate management
- Knowledgeable of menu selection, promotions and pricing related to each meal period.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 18 years old
Knowledge of health and sanitation standards
Oral and written communication and computer skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow oral or written instructions, lift a minimum of 25 pounds, sit, stand or walk continuously for 8 hours or longer
Must be knowledgeable of health and sanitation standards
Must have good oral and written communication skills
Must have basic computer skills and cash handling experience
Must be flexible in scheduling and be available to work weekends, holiday and over time as needed
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Current Food Handler's Education Certificate
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
3 months customer service experience preferred
