We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Co-Op to join our team at Cummins Inc. in Florence, KY.


Key Responsibilities:

Supporting HR Functions:

• Provide general personnel information and manage HR processes to ensure smooth and efficient HR operations.

• Develop and maintain familiarity with local, state, and federal requirements to ensure compliance.


Employee Relations:
• Assist in coordinating positive employee relation events to foster a supportive and engaging workplace culture.
Policy Adherence:
• Ensure thorough familiarity with business conduct policies and assist in training others to promote a culture of compliance and ethical behavior.

• Support team members with benefit and HR procedure questions to enhance their understanding and satisfaction with HR services.


Administrative Projects:
• Assist with special projects, such as updating newsletters and communications, to keep employees informed and engaged.

• Coordinate and maintain employee records and facilitate new hire onboarding to ensure accurate and organized documentation.

• Continue working toward your degree in human resources, organizational leadership, communications, or a similar field to build a strong foundation of knowledge and skills.

• Leverage your outstanding oral and written communication skills to clearly convey information, engage with employees, and handle HR-related inquiries effectively.


Organizational Skills:
• Utilize your strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently and ensure timely administration of HR duties.

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Apply your working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook to create reports, manage data, prepare presentations, and communicate effectively.


Attention to Detail:
• Pay close attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation, compliance with policies, and thoroughness in all HR processes.

• Be flexible and adaptable to handle various HR tasks and special projects, adjusting to changing priorities and needs.


Continuous Learning:
• Stay updated on HR best practices, industry trends, and regulatory changes to continuously improve your knowledge and effectiveness in the role.

• Pursuing a degree in human resources, organizational leadership, communications, or a similar field.
