Thrift Store Associate Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Thrift Store Associate. As a representative of the Idaho Youth Ranch, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, operating cash registers, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers
  • Operate cash registers and credit/check processing equipment efficiently and accurately
  • Sort, clean, price, and stock donated merchandise in a timely manner
  • Operate pallet jacks, hand carts, lift gates, and other loading/moving equipment safely and effectively

Requirements:

  • Be enrolled in High School or possess a High School diploma or equivalent
  • Be at least 16 years of age
  • Have strong customer service skills and the ability to WOW our customers
  • Ability to work weekends

As a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, the Idaho Youth Ranch is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PLSF) program. The PLSF offers student loan forgiveness on qualifying loans under specific conditions. Speak with your loan provider for more information.
