POSITION SUMMARY

The PlayOn Sports Streaming team is seeking a Compensation Administrator to manage and oversee the payroll operations of the organization, ensuring that compensation is processed punctually, accurately, and in accordance with regulatory requirements.

This role will also ensure that retirement contributions and other deductions are processed and recorded correctly. The position is situated within the finance department and collaborates closely with Human Resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages, implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing and accounting systems to guarantee timely and precise processing of payroll transactions, including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including onboarding new employees, terminations, and adjustments to pay rates.
  • Prepares and maintains comprehensive records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Ensures adherence to federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour regulations and best practices.
  • Facilitates audits by providing necessary records and documentation to auditors.
  • Identifies and recommends enhancements to payroll accounting software, systems, and procedures.
  • Performs additional accounting duties as assigned.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • In-depth knowledge of payroll operations, including preparation, balancing, internal controls, and payroll taxes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in an organization with over 100 employees is required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven supervisory and leadership abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Familiarity with payroll software; experience with Paylocity is preferred.
