Job Purpose:
The Quality Engineer will oversee specific production lines and customer products, ensuring adherence to quality standards and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate assigned APQP projects, including the development and revision of Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, APQP Documentation, PMFEA's, Inspection Instructions, and other necessary documentation.
- Design and develop specialized gauging tools as required.
- Create and refine Quality system procedures and instructions to uphold the Quality System standards.

Quality Improvement:
- Implement waste prevention strategies utilizing quality tools such as Pareto analysis, Mistake Proof Deviations, Cost of Quality Analysis, Visual Indicators, Capability Studies, and other statistical methodologies.
- Address and resolve customer concerns employing problem-solving techniques such as 7D, 8D, and Five Why methodologies.

Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively within a team environment to promote continuous improvement across all facets of plant operations.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance on layout, gage calibration, floor inspections/audits, and quality checks.
- Prepare and present periodic reports and data to management and plant personnel.
- Facilitate Customer PPAP submissions and review customer systems for non-conformances.
- Track and assess the status of engineering deviations and change requests.
- Support the APQP process and create/update quality documents as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Quality or a related field, preferably within the automotive industry as a Tier 1 supplier.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Willingness to travel within the designated geographic area.
- ASQ CQE certification is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and various statistical software packages.
- Strong communication, organizational, and mathematical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and navigate stressful situations effectively.

Experience with:
PPAP, FMEA, APQP, GD&T, Gage R&R, Calibration, SPC, QS-9000, TS-16949, ISO 14001, and Internal auditing; IATF knowledge is a plus.
