Overview:

The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software products by identifying and analyzing defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.

This role will involve reviewing business documentation and specifications, executing manual test scripts, and troubleshooting issues that arise during testing.

Duties:

  • Participate in reviewing business documentation and specifications to determine intended functionality and assist in testing
  • Execute manual test scripts with reliable and comprehensive test results
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during testing
  • Collaborate with business, project, and product managers, development, and infrastructure teams to understand system flows, processes, and back-end architecture
  • Test applications, upgrades, patches, customizations, and identify bugs and potential problems within the software
  • Conduct regular system checks to ensure smooth functioning of portals
  • Create clear and concise defect tickets with reproducible steps using the ticketing system
  • Create and execute test cases for various applications and products, including website, Android/iOS platforms
  • Update and maintain test cases to keep the test suite current
  • Design and execute manual and automated test cases to identify and report software defects across various functionalities
  • Document test cases, procedures, and findings clearly and concisely
  • Ensure all processes adhere to industry standards and company policies
  • Regularly update and maintain accurate system documentation
  • Analyze test results, identify root causes of defects, and work with developers to ensure timely resolution

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of quality assurance principles, techniques, and tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with different stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Manage personal priorities and work with minimal supervision and direction
  • Resourceful, able to manage multiple projects at once and shifting priorities and responsibilities with limited supervision
  • Self-motivated and passionate about providing an excellent customer experience
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills, including the ability to lead up, across, and down multiple business units

Additional Information:

The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $70,000 per year based on experience.
