Position Overview: Apparel Sourcing Manager
Objective:
The Apparel Sourcing Manager plays a vital role in enhancing cost-effectiveness, quality, and efficiency throughout our global supply chain for apparel products. This position is integral to our strategic growth, particularly in managing our licensed brands. You will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that align with our organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute a comprehensive global sourcing strategy that aligns with corporate objectives while optimizing cost, quality, and lead times.
- Oversee the complete sourcing process, from identifying potential suppliers and negotiating contracts to managing production and ensuring timely delivery.
- Conduct market analysis to identify new and reliable suppliers globally, focusing on regions such as Southeast Asia and Central America.
- Assess new and existing suppliers based on quality standards, pricing, production capabilities, ethical labor practices, and compliance with social responsibility.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms for the organization.
- Supervise production and maintain relationships with factories to ensure adherence to specifications, quality control standards, and delivery schedules.
- Analyze cost structures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to optimize pricing.
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with key stakeholders across various departments, including design, production, and logistics.
- Stay informed about global trade regulations, import/export procedures, and industry trends in apparel sourcing.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years in apparel sourcing, preferably in a global context.
- Skills:
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing sourcing strategies that enhance cost efficiency and product quality.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and Incoterms.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and PLM-related software.
- Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to manage complex data sets.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
- A passion for the apparel industry and a keen attention to detail.
