About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Beach House. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional food service to our residents while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve high-quality food items using fresh ingredients and proper garnishes.
  • Manage food temperatures during storage, preparation, cooking, and serving to ensure a consistent product.
  • Monitor and record temperatures of kitchen refrigerators and freezers daily to maintain a safe environment.
  • Control food waste and overproduction to optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Comply with all state and local regulations for a clean and safe kitchen.
  • Responsible for washing and sanitizing food service equipment and maintaining a clean kitchen environment.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum two years of cooking experience, preferably in the healthcare or hospitality industry.
  • Serv-Safe Certification required.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to work with residents and associates.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks as required.
