Job Title: General Manager

Job Summary:

The General Manager is responsible for driving the success of the restaurant by directing and controlling operations to ensure a positive guest experience and company profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the operation of the restaurant, attaining sales and profit objectives, maintaining the highest standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation.
  • Direct and supervise Assistant Managers and Team Members to ensure proper training and motivation.
  • Minimize turnover by responding to and resolving team member issues, promoting a positive work environment.
  • Promote positive guest relations, building relationships and responding to guest complaints or concerns professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Establish a positive relationship with local authorities, seeking their help in managing regulatory and governance-related issues.
  • Implement advertising and promotional campaigns to drive sales and revenue.
  • Review financial information, monitoring budget to ensure efficient operation and expenditures stay within budget.
  • Take action to correct any deviations from budget, using the computer for review and analysis of information.
  • Responsible for the financial results of the restaurant, driving positive results for labor through proactive scheduling and reacting to business trends.
  • Maintain and control restaurant assets, monitoring inventory levels to ensure adequate stock without tying up company assets in unnecessary inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with cash control policies and procedures.
  • Supervise cleaning and maintenance of equipment, arranging for repairs, contracts, and other services as directed by supervisor.
  • Maintain restaurant cleanliness and organization, adhering to brand and company standards.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, operating in accordance with the brand's Operations Manual.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills, completing assignments and duties on time, developing personal goals for professional growth.
  • Exhibit a neat and clean appearance consistent with a professional image, executing company programs and decisions with support and commitment.

  • Ability to work well under pressure, effectively solving problems.
  • Able to take and give direction, being flexible as needs dictate.
  • Works well with other people in a team environment, service-driven.
  • Excellent attendance and willingness to be flexible based on business needs.
  • Ability to work all shifts when the restaurant is open.
