Job Summary:

Universal Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Payroll/ Accounts Payable Analyst to provide support functions for the bi-weekly payroll process for all UHS facilities. This role will serve as a resource for users in the field with regards to processing issues and provide education to users, assist in the conversion of the legacy payroll system for newly acquired hospitals, set up new processing levels and assist with implementation of system upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides education to users, assists in the conversion of the legacy payroll system for newly acquired hospitals, sets up new processing levels and assists with implementation of system upgrades.
  • Provides support functions for Accounts Payable processing for all facilities.
  • Assists payroll coordinators with Lawson and Kronos questions and/or issues to ensure employees are paid on time and paid correctly.
  • Assists in other related systems issues such as Lawson LP, Absence Management, ADP (payroll and garnishments), EZ-Pay, MHC RAS, BSI tax, Quick Charge, and McKesson/Allscripts.
  • Serves as a resource for system issues, provides education and assists with conversions.
  • Reviews bi-weekly payroll reports. Maintain on-going changes to payroll/general ledger crosswalk.
  • Performs gross-to-net analysis and reconciles Lawson payroll interface to general ledger.
  • Provides on-going analysis and review of Lawson and the McKesson systems regarding modules, malfunctions and interfaces. Addresses assigned TTS issues.

Requirements:
  • Associates degree or 2 years of college or technical school required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing is required.
  • Exposure to health care pay practices is preferred.
  • Knowledge of AP functions, Lawson and basic accounting is beneficial.
  • Strong knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Analyst will need to multi-task for a multi-entity UHS structure.
  • Must be detail and goal oriented and have strong follow-through skills.
  • Professionalism in dealing with all customers and ability to work with other UHS staff and/or resources is required.
  • Must be able to work in an office environment at the corporate office and be able to travel to new acquisitions for training and 'go-lives'.
  • Strong analytical skills are preferred along with a keen ability to troubleshoot issues.
