Registered Nurse 1, NS71 Epilepsy Position

SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse 1, NS71 Epilepsy to join our team. As a Registered Nurse 1, you will provide direct and indirect care to patients, serve as a liaison between nursing and clinical support staff, and advocate on behalf of the nursing and clinical support staff.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct and indirect care to patients, including assessing unique nursing needs, formulating nursing care plans, and writing nursing orders under the direction of attending physicians.
- Serve as a liaison between nursing and clinical support staff, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Advocate on behalf of the nursing and clinical support staff, promoting a team environment and supporting the principles of patient and family-centered care.
- Assess and train nursing staff on clinical competencies upon hire, annually, and as needed.
- Meet nursing operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews, implementing production, productivity, quality, customer-service standards, resolving problems, and identifying system improvements.
- Open Competitive: possession of a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
- 1 year of relevant clinical experience.
Variable Days; 7:30pm to 8:00am (Full-Time Nights)
Salary Grade/Rank:SG-18
Salary Range:$101,264 to $122,056 based on years of experience and education (includes Location Pay & Geographic Differential) plus shift and/or inconvenience pay of $575 to $5,375, if applicable.
