We are seeking a highly skilled Sleep Technologist II, Comprehensive Epilepsy to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our sleep disorders team, you will be responsible for performing polysomnographic procedures for both clinical and research patients, including those with epilepsy. Your expertise will be essential in providing high-quality care and contributing to the advancement of sleep medicine.
Key Responsibilities- Perform polysomnographic procedures, including sleep stage scoring and clinical event analysis
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans for patients with sleep disorders
- Conduct mask fittings and optimize patient satisfaction with CPAP machines
- Write and adapt protocols as needed, score sleep studies, and transfer data to optical disk storage systems
- Provide education and training to staff on new equipment and procedures
- NYS OP License and current registration as a Polysomnographic Technologist, Registered Respiratory Therapist, or Respiratory Therapy Technician
- 5 years of experience in Polysomnography or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
