Position: Strategic Business Development Manager

As a Strategic Business Development Manager at Valspec, you will play a crucial role in providing advanced Digital GxP Services to prominent clients within the life sciences arena. We are in search of an experienced sales and business development expert who shares our commitment to innovation and can align with our unwavering pursuit of excellence in emerging technologies.

In this key position, you will excel at navigating intricate corporate frameworks and engaging with decision-makers across diverse organizations. Your primary focus will be on identifying and capitalizing on opportunities in both capital and operational expenditures, effectively closing sales on specific project initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the life sciences sector, including current trends and future directions.
  • Exhibit proficiency in life sciences software, spanning from the shop floor to the ERP layer, alongside Valspec's service offerings and success narratives.
  • Establish strategic alliances with key suppliers and assess opportunities for collaboration.
  • Remain informed about regulatory changes and industry trends to anticipate shifts in client requirements and adapt Valspec's strategies accordingly.
  • Oversee the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to closure, working closely with internal teams to deliver customized solutions.
  • Build and nurture strong client relationships, leveraging your expertise to enhance value and drive business growth.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to create high-quality proposals that align with client expectations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, ideally engaging upper-level managers responsible for enterprise-level systems within manufacturing, laboratory, and IT sectors.
  • A proven history of success in sales/business development within the life sciences industry, with expertise in software, equipment, or service solutions.
  • Familiarity with resource-based/staff augmentation solutions and capital project offerings is preferred.
  • Strong facilitation skills and the ability to effectively influence decision-making processes.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills tailored to engage sophisticated clientele.
