We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team on a per diem basis. As a CRNA at NYU Langone Health, you will be responsible for administering anesthesia under the supervision of an attending anesthesiologist and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Administer Anesthesia: Administer local, inhalation, intravenous, and other anesthetics as prescribed during surgery, deliveries, or other medical procedures.
- Resuscitative Procedures: Institute resuscitative procedures throughout the hospital, including the recovery room, and be available at all times while on duty.
- Pre-Anesthetic Assessment: Perform complete pre-anesthetic assessments, including significant laboratory data, important aspects of patient history and physical, and review of ID upon receiving patient.
- Case Management: Prepare for case management by assembling essential equipment, having it ready and in working condition, and using universal safety precautions.
- Anesthetic Management: Plan anesthetic management in a systematic manner based on assessment, interpretation, and anticipated procedure, and communicate information clearly and logically with the attending anesthesiologist.
- Post-Anesthetic Management: Provide competent post-anesthetic management, including verifying patient information, maintaining patient airway, and providing full report to recovery personnel.
- License and Certification: CRNA-Certified RN Anesthetist license, Masters Degree - CRNA program, Current NYS RN License, CRNA Certification, ACLS, PALS certification, and NYS Infection Control Certificate.
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
