Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Anesthesiologist to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. As a key member of our Anesthesiology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Provide anesthetic management for patients requiring surgical procedures in the Operating Room and/or Obstetrical area
  • Supervise CRNA staff, resident, medical student, and student nurse anesthetists in the clinical area
  • Participate in the departmental Quality Assurance program
  • Membership in appropriate committees, as requested by the Chief of Service and/or Chairperson
  • Clinical resource for all levels of trainees
  • Participate in the didactic portion of resident, student nurse anesthetist, and medical students' educational programs
  • Time not spent in direct patient care will be devoted to appropriate administrative, educational, and/or research activities
  • Participate in ongoing continuing education programs to maintain and upgrade skills
  • Demonstrate an awareness of the Organization's safety plan and demonstrate proficiency in each skill
Qualifications
  • M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school of medicine
  • Completed residency training in an accredited program within Anesthesiology
  • License to practice medicine in the State of New York
  • Must be board-eligible or board-certified in Anesthesiology

  • Annual Base Salary: $390,000* (board eligible); $400,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week
  • Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours
