Your Role
As a Field Service Technician at Lam, you will play a crucial role in customer support.

Your responsibilities extend beyond mere installations and troubleshooting; you will ensure the operational excellence of our sophisticated semiconductor machinery. You will be at the forefront, grasping customer requirements and collaborating with various teams to provide effective solutions.
In this position, you will directly contribute to enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality on-site repair, maintenance, and complete installation/start-up services for Lam's intricate electro-mechanical and electronic systems at client locations.
- Engage in analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting, conducting diagnostics, isolating issues to the component level, and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and equipment malfunctions.
- Stay informed about semiconductor capital equipment and Lam products through continuous learning, training, and certification.
- Maintain accurate records and reports to facilitate coordination between Lam and the customer.
- Act as a subject matter expert, representing Lam to our esteemed clients and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Communicate transparently with customers regarding opportunities and challenges to foster trust.
- Provide updates to customers on the status of Lam tools as necessary.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Engineering, or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, diagrams, and operation manuals.
- Ability to work in a cleanroom environment while wearing personal protective equipment.
- Willingness to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally, based on customer needs, with flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime and on-call duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with common office software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Foundational analytical and problem-solving abilities.
