We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Emergency Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a key member of our pediatric emergency department, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to families in need.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans to optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and address complex medical needs.
- Deliver patient and family education, promoting health literacy and empowering patients to take an active role in their care.
- At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in an acute care setting.
- Previous experience in a pediatric emergency department is highly preferred.
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License; Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are also required.
