Job Title:

Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Intern

Axalta, a global leader in coatings technology, is seeking a driven and innovative college student to join our Fast Track Early Talent Program.

Job Summary:

We are looking for proactive and detail-oriented individuals to support our EHS teams in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and update EHS policies, procedures, and training materials.
  • Track and analyze EHS metrics and prepare reports for management.
  • Participate in incident investigations and assist in identifying root causes and corrective actions.
  • Assist in coordinating and conducting EHS training sessions for employees.
  • Support environmental sustainability initiatives, including waste management, recycling programs, and energy conservation efforts.
  • Maintain EHS records, permits, and documentation in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of basic EHS principles and practices is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
