Position Overview: Environment Health Safety Specialist

The Environment Health Safety Specialist role requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity within a corporate environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in safety management, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven history of enhancing safety awareness, elevating standards, and driving performance improvements in a large-scale global organization.
  • Exceptional market and customer insight, along with strong leadership and interpersonal skills that demonstrate integrity, a focus on results, collaboration, and a commitment to talent development.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing comprehensive safety and health initiatives in a multinational service and manufacturing context.
  • A robust business acumen with the ability to engage effectively with executives and operational teams.
  • Thorough understanding of safety laws, regulations, and governance standards.
  • Proven ability to conceive and execute new strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the company's driver safety initiatives in partnership with the Fleet organization and EHS professionals.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to identify and enhance wellness programs within the organization.
  • Promote a culture of transparency and information sharing to cultivate a high level of awareness and diligence regarding safety and health issues.
