Mechanical Systems Specialist

Job Summary
Sierra Lobo is seeking a skilled Mechanical Systems Specialist to join our team at NASA LaRC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mechanical systems and equipment in support of wind tunnel testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain rotating machinery, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pumps, valves, and cooling water systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, inspect systems, and operate machinery per documented procedures.
- Work in a variety of environments, including office, test/industrial, and potentially hazardous conditions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations and high-quality results.
Requirements
- Relevant military training or aviation maintenance training is a plus.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
