Responsibilities
As an essential member of the team, the Integrated Security Systems Installer operates on-site with our commercial clients to establish and configure their integrated fire and security systems. The Installer also disassembles and reassembles equipment as necessary.
Key Activities
- Installs necessary devices; disassembles and reassembles equipment as required by client or company standards.
- Works safely and responsibly to prevent injuries, property damage, loss of unused materials, and ensures cleanup of installation debris.
- Contacts clients prior to scheduled installations to confirm arrangements.
- Prepares estimates following prescribed guidelines or supervisor's instructions.
- Adheres to proper schematic wiring diagrams and connection procedures.
- Tests system operations to the signal-receiving center to ensure proper service establishment.
- Interprets building, electrical, and sprinkler blueprints as needed.
- Coordinates installations with local police/fire departments and manages necessary documentation for emergency notifications.
- May oversee installation teams on larger projects.
- Provides coaching and mentorship to less experienced installers.
- Travel is required, utilizing provided company vehicle and equipment.
Qualifications
Required
- Technical school training is advantageous.
- 3-5 years of experience demonstrating mechanical aptitude.
- Oregon LEA license is mandatory.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and schematic drawings.
- Proficiency in operating hand and power tools.
- Must operate fleet vehicles safely at all times.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to excellent customer service.
Preferred
- NICET II Certification.
- EL06 Washington license.
- Certifications in Access Control.
- Certifications in CCTV.
- Experience in bending conduit.
