Residential Electrical System Architect

Salary Range: $25-$35
POSITION SUMMARY: The Residential Electrical System Architect is tasked with the design of residential electrical and low-voltage systems. This includes but is not limited to lighting, distributed audio and video, security, surveillance, networking, and home automation solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure timely creation and delivery of project documentation that effectively communicates the intended wiring design, layout, aesthetics, and programming needs of each project component.
- Maintain consistent and proactive communication, both verbally and in writing, with the Technology Advisor, homebuyer, general contractors, and other stakeholders to keep them updated on the project's technical aspects.
- Offer technical assistance to installation and procurement teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support the sales team with technical insights for clients and other project stakeholders.
- Stay informed about the latest technical and industry developments that could influence system designs, including new technologies, subsystems, components, and product lines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the design and installation of commercial and/or residential electronic systems.
- Ability to visualize technical component interactions and installation environments to ensure a practical design before physical installation.
- Proficient in advanced computer applications, including D-Tools, Bluebeam, Visio, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Capability to interpret technical specifications and architectural blueprints.
- Skilled in performing calculations, analyzing reports, and engaging in strategic and creative problem-solving.
- Strong attention to detail and a robust work ethic.
- Experience with Control4 and custom networking is preferred.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Occasional travel may be necessary for project meetings or training sessions.
