About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operations Supervisor to join our team at Transdev. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions and operations of our maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Manage equipment, parts, and supplies inventories to optimize maintenance efficiency.
  • Ensure all mechanics have proper licenses and certifications to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment, machinery, and facilities to identify maintenance needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment history.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the maintenance department.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
Requirements
  • High School diploma required; some college preferred.
  • Must have 3+ years of supervisory experience in a maintenance environment.
  • Must have 3+ years' experience dealing with heavy equipment.
  • Experience working with Unions and in the transportation industry a must.
  • Must have previous experience supervising employees on multiple shifts.
  • ASE certifications are required.
  • Must be a team player yet able to work well independently.
  • Must be able to demonstrate poise, tact, diplomacy, and possesses good judgment and discretion.
  • Detail oriented, well organized, and possess effective time management skills.
  • General knowledge of Windows-based computer operating system and Microsoft office package.

  • Work is accomplished both indoors and in air-conditioned or well-ventilated facilities as well as outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions.
  • Frequently stands and walks; ability to sit for up to three hours; walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
  • Normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; ability to lift or handle material weighing up to 50 to 75 lbs. without assistance.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch; and corrected hearing and vision to normal range; verbal communication.
