About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team at Franciscan Medical Group. As a key member of our patient-centered team, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless patient experience from check-in to check-out.


Your primary focus will be on registering patients, handling payments, and coordinating appointments and ancillary services. You will also be responsible for processing referral orders and pre-authorizations, responding to patient inquiries, and coordinating patient educational activities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Register patients and ensure accurate demographic and financial data is collected and entered into the patient's medical record.
  • Handle and reconcile payments, including co-pays, co-insurance, and prior balances.
  • Monitor and reconcile issues prior to patient visits to ensure a smooth experience.
  • Process referral orders and pre-authorizations to ensure timely access to care.
  • Coordinate appointments and ancillary services to meet patient needs.
  • Respond to patient inquiries regarding routine billing and insurance matters.
  • Coordinate patient educational activities to promote health and wellness.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • One year of customer service work experience, with two years preferred.
  • Healthcare or call center experience is a plus.
