Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative II to join our team at Conifer Revenue Cycle Union. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our patient access functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Registration: You will be responsible for performing scheduling, registration, patient pre-admission and admission, reception and discharge functions with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Patient Demographic Information: You will obtain complete and accurate patient demographic information, ensuring that all necessary data is collected and updated in our systems.
  • Financial and Cash Control: You will adhere to financial and cash control policies and procedures, ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Liability Collection: You will employ proper and compliant patient liability collection techniques before, during, and after date of service, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to secure payment from patients.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred.
  • Experience: 0-1 year in a customer service role; 0-1 year administrative experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or related area preferred.
  • Skills: Minimum typing skills of 35 wpm; demonstrated working knowledge of PC/CRT/printer; knowledge of function and relationships within a hospital environment preferred.
Work Environment

You will work in a fast-paced hospital administration environment, interacting with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. You must be able to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods, occasionally lift/carry items weighing up to 25 lbs, and frequently stand, sit, and walk.
