Key Responsibilities- Greets Patients and Manages Appointments: Greet patients in a professional and courteous manner, and manage their appointments in a timely and efficient manner.
- Verifies Patient Information: Verify patient demographics and insurance information using our online system, and ensure that all necessary information is up-to-date.
- Handles Patient Communications: Handle patient communications in a professional and courteous manner, including answering phone calls and responding to patient inquiries.
- Collects Payments and Co-Payments: Collect payments and co-payments from patients in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provides Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the patient services department, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification/Licensure: Not required.
- Experience: One of the following: 6 months experience as a medical receptionist, 6 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills: Medical terminology, basic typing and keyboarding skills, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, experience with customer service and multi-line phones, familiarity with computers and other office equipment, ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
This position requires occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 10 pounds unassisted, frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting, and sitting, with some lifting, pushing, and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift.
