Position Overview: Glen Park Senior Living is seeking an Activities Director to enhance the quality of life for seniors with memory challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develops and implements engaging activities that promote social interaction and foster independence in daily living.
2. Ensures a diverse range of activities, including:
a. Social Engagement: Facilitates group discussions, current events, bingo, arts & crafts, music sessions, and pet care.
b. Daily Living Skills: Organizes walks, snacks, and outings to maintain independent living.
c. Leisure Activities: Encourages participation in card games, bowling, movie screenings, and gardening.
d. Physical Wellness: Promotes strength and coordination through games, dance, and exercise routines.
e. Educational Opportunities: Provides learning experiences such as safety lectures and travel presentations.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum age of 18 years.
2. At least one year of relevant experience.
3. Ability to pass a physical examination and background check.
4. Current certification in Basic First Aid and CPR.
Essential Skills:
1. Possess the personal attributes, energy, and skills necessary to work effectively with elderly residents, their families, and staff.
