Key Responsibilities- Equipment Installation and Repair: Install, repair, and calibrate clinical equipment at a component level, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and manufacturers' recommendations.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, electrical safety inspections, and quality assurance on assigned medical equipment in a timely manner.
- Equipment Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot equipment using available test equipment, reading detailed electronic schematics, and identifying root causes of issues.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, resolving equipment service problems, and maintaining communications with customers regarding the status of equipment repairs.
- Documentation and Reporting: Document all work performed, maintain parts, supplies, tools, test equipment, and technical literature, and complete service reports and supplemental productivity documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED, Associate degree, military training, or academic work aligned with biomed core competencies.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in an acute-care hospital setting, with a working knowledge of electricity, AC/DC electronics, electro/mechanics, hydraulic/pneumatics, and medical terminology.
- Certifications and Licensures: Employee will obtain and maintain appropriate clinical competencies for the roles assigned by their departmental leader.
- Project Management: Basic understanding of project management terms and methods.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in personal computer repair, Windows PC, and network operating systems.
