Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Equipment Specialist to join our team at Northern Arizona Healthcare Corporation. As a key member of our biomedical team, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and calibrating clinical equipment at a component level. Your expertise will ensure that our medical devices are functioning properly and safely, providing the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Installation and Repair: Install, repair, and calibrate clinical equipment at a component level, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and manufacturers' recommendations.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, electrical safety inspections, and quality assurance on assigned medical equipment in a timely manner.
  • Equipment Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot equipment using available test equipment, reading detailed electronic schematics, and identifying root causes of issues.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, resolving equipment service problems, and maintaining communications with customers regarding the status of equipment repairs.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document all work performed, maintain parts, supplies, tools, test equipment, and technical literature, and complete service reports and supplemental productivity documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, Associate degree, military training, or academic work aligned with biomed core competencies.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in an acute-care hospital setting, with a working knowledge of electricity, AC/DC electronics, electro/mechanics, hydraulic/pneumatics, and medical terminology.
  • Certifications and Licensures: Employee will obtain and maintain appropriate clinical competencies for the roles assigned by their departmental leader.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management: Basic understanding of project management terms and methods.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in personal computer repair, Windows PC, and network operating systems.
