We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.
Job SummaryThis is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Medical Assistant with experience in chronic disease management. You will work closely with our healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care, perform various medical procedures, and ensure seamless communication between patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Provide exceptional patient care, including conducting medical histories, performing physical exams, and administering medications
- Conduct diagnostic studies and procedures, such as EKGs, rapid strep tests, and urinalysis
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, maintain accurate medical records, and communicate effectively with patients and families
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Stay up-to-date on the latest medical research, best practices, and technologies to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a hospital or clinical setting
- Current certifications in CPR, BLS, and other relevant medical certifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
