Recreation Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recreation Supervisor to join our team at Equus Workforce Solutions. As a Recreation Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing comprehensive recreation programs within the Job Corps Program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and promote recreational programs that meet the needs of all trainees
  • Schedule activities in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner
  • Extend partnerships with other recreational providers in the community
  • Oversee staffing patterns and development of all staff within the department
  • Submit a calendar of events for review on a monthly basis
  • Meet with new students during the first week of Stay and monitor trainee participation in various activities
  • Ensure activity costs and trainee participation logs are reconciled with the Accounting Department
  • Maintain stock of trainee uniforms and various other athletic garments
  • Schedule a variety of recreational programs that encourage maximum trainee participation leading to positive social behaviors
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Recreation, Physical Education, or a related field
  • Four to six years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/First Aid Certifications
