Job Summary

This position is responsible for leading the Nuclear Weapons Security Technical Program Division, overseeing the development and implementation of Nuclear Weapons Systems and Strategic Weapons Systems programs and requirements. The successful candidate will have a strong background in program management, technical authority, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Nuclear Weapons Security Technical Program Division, overseeing the development and implementation of Nuclear Weapons Systems and Strategic Weapons Systems programs and requirements.
  • Provide technical authority and expert advice to senior officials, including the Program Manager's Office and headquarters.
  • Direct the development and operations of all facility-wide management systems and policies.
  • Formulate approaches and proposals for assigned program tasks and elements, and prepare and present these to management for approval.
  • Establish and maintain a robust configuration management system for Nuclear Weapons Systems to ensure lifetime supportability of hardware, software, and firmware components.
  • Oversee the evaluation of system component processing requirements through review of specifications, drawings, and numerous system/component assembly, test, repair, maintenance, reliability, maintainability, modification, etc.
  • Manage the issues, correspondence, management plans, instructions, and directives necessary to ensure effective communications among all activities participating in the program.
Requirements
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
  • Must be able to travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Leading or managing Integrated Product Teams implementing and integrating Nuclear Weapons Systems and Strategic Weapons Systems programs and requirements.
  • Overseeing the development of new theories, concepts, principles, standards, and methods to meet mission objectives.
