Job Overview

Position Summary:
As an Industrial Electrical Technician at HIKINEX, you will take charge of the maintenance, repair, and enhancement of the facility's automated control systems, alongside its electrical and mechanical frameworks. Your role will involve the assembly, application, installation, and maintenance of both mechanical and electromechanical devices, as well as the electrical conduit and wiring associated with machinery and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere strictly to safety standards and regulations.
  • Conduct daily troubleshooting, repairs, and installations of industrial electromechanical and control systems for production machinery, covering both low and high voltage.
  • Install, calibrate, repair, and design various electronic devices, while performing proactive maintenance.
  • Plan and execute new installations, considering materials, accessibility, and compliance with codes.
  • Maintain shift inspection and repair logs for management review.
  • Analyze wiring diagrams and blueprints to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Utilize meters and testing equipment for troubleshooting, effectively communicating findings to management and engineering teams.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment on the production line.
  • Maintain plant instrumentation, including heat controllers and recording devices.
  • Monitor equipment performance to identify potential hazards and areas needing adjustments or replacements.
  • Independently troubleshoot and repair Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and related components.
  • Retrieve and repair backup PLC programs to restore equipment functionality.
  • Assist in mechanical installations as directed.
  • Participate in occasional training-related travel.
  • Perform routine cleaning duties during downtime.
  • Complete assigned miscellaneous tasks as required.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and be available for mandatory overtime when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in handling DC and AC motors, variable frequency drives, and controlled systems.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers, computer systems, and electronics.
  • Background in electrical system design, repair, and analysis.
  • Commitment to ongoing education to stay current with evolving technologies.
  • Ability to accurately interpret and modify electrical prints and schematics.
  • Strong skills in electrical installations and wiring practices.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and a dedication to safety.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Education, Licenses & Certifications:

  • Two-year technical degree in electrical engineering, technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of four years' experience in an industrial electrical role, or equivalent experience.

Additional Information:

  • Candidates will undergo assessments for Electrical Aptitude, PLC and controls Aptitude, and Mechanical Aptitude during an introductory period.
  • Must be physically capable and willing to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary.
  • Occasional work in challenging environmental conditions may be required, with moderate noise levels in the work environment.

Work Schedule:

  • Must rotate shifts every 30 days: 30 days on the first shift, 30 days on the third shift, then 30 days on the second shift.
  • Mandatory overtime, including weekends, may be required.

Compensation:

  • Starting pay at $29.24 per hour, based on experience.
  • Shift differentials available.
  • Benefits eligibility begins on the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.
