Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Transportation Coordinator to join our team at InnovAge. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting our frail and elderly participants to and from our Day Centers and appointments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive InnovAge vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, utilizing defensive driving skills and following company policies and procedures.
  • Load and unload participants in and out of vehicles, and assist with simple tasks such as helping with outerwear and moving items that obstruct walking paths.
  • Transport participants to all pre-arranged appointments, ensuring timely and safe arrival.
  • Deliver in-home meals, supplies, and medications to participants, verifying correct delivery and ensuring participant safety.
  • Assist participants with simple tasks and provide support as needed, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop and implement Plans of Care for participants.
Requirements
  • Previous DOT and Defensive Driving experience.
  • One year of experience working with the frail or elderly.
  • Valid state-issued Class B Commercial Driver's License with Passenger endorsement (Class A accepted).
  • At least 21 years of age with a good driving record.
  • 6 months of experience transporting individuals with special mobility needs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of how to use and maintain vehicle equipment.
  • Experience transporting the elderly.
  • 6 months of experience transporting individuals with special mobility needs.
