Job Summary

The Robot Welder Operator is a key member of our team at Vibration Mountings Controls, Inc. responsible for setting up and operating the Robot in accordance to established procedures and guidelines. This includes interpreting blueprints, drawings, and diagrams to adjust Robot settings according to specifications, to ensure that the tasks are completed accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Review work orders to ensure accurate completion of tasks
• Pull shop drawings from the VMC drawing folder and read them for dimensions
• Check for material availability and set up the station where the product is to be run
• Set up the fixture in the robot and perform a dry run to ensure accuracy
• Set up and operate the robot, completing the job and signing off on operations

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
• Basic math knowledge, including the use of measuring tools
• Familiarity with operating the robotic welding machine
• Welding knowledge is helpful
• Ability to work in an environment that produces excellent quality and quantity work
• Ability to organize and prioritize jobs
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing

Working Conditions

The Robot Welder Operator will work in a typical machine shop environment. The ability to stand for long periods of time, lift, push, and pull 25 pounds unassisted is required. Willingness and ability to work additional hours as needed to ensure responsibilities are met, and willingness to be cross-trained on different machines are also required.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Shop experience in robotic and plasma cutting
• Familiarity with a robot control panel, and operating a forklift and overhead crane
• Ability to work various shifts as needed
