Job Description

Manufacturing Company is seeking a highly skilled Machine Shop Supervisor to lead our team in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining and manual machining operations, with a proven track record of leading a team and implementing process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of machinists, providing clear direction and support.
  • Oversee CNC and manual machining operations, ensuring high standards of production quality.
  • Develop and implement new processes to improve shop efficiency and output.
  • Create and manage production schedules to meet customer demands and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure strict Quality Control throughout the manufacturing process, maintaining attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Program CNC machines and troubleshoot programming issues as they arise.
  • Leverage welding knowledge to support shop operations as needed.
  • Maintain a customer service-focused mindset, ensuring all client needs are met and expectations exceeded.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on machining experience (CNC and Manual); 10+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Proven experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a solid background in Quality Control.
  • Proficiency in CNC programming and a working knowledge of welding processes.
  • Experience in production scheduling and shop workflow management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and implement change.
