Key Responsibilities
The Senior Coffee Specialist at Blank Street will take charge of new store openings and training initiatives for our barista teams. We seek an individual who is passionate about coffee and dedicated to nurturing the skills of others. Your leadership will enhance the quality and consistency of our products and customer interactions across all locations.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Leading training sessions in the field, focusing on both individual and small group settings to elevate drink quality and service efficiency.
- Ensuring a successful training and quality control process during the opening week of new locations.
- Acting as the primary barista on opening days, providing our new customers with an outstanding introduction to our brand.
- Conducting thorough evaluations of new staff and providing detailed feedback to the training team.
- Supporting the General Manager in maintaining smooth daily operations.
- Assisting in the revitalization of existing stores that require a refresh.
- Traveling as necessary to support new store openings and training efforts.
Who You Are
You possess:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in training and supporting new store openings.
- At least 2 years of barista experience or a deep understanding of coffee.
- A passion for mentorship and knowledge sharing.
- A detail-oriented mindset with a focus on solutions.
- A proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
- The ability to provide constructive feedback to peers.
- A commitment to representing our brand positively in new neighborhoods.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards in food service.
