The Clinical Quality and Risk Management Specialist plays a pivotal role within the Quality, Risk, and Compliance department at Springfield Hospital Inc. This position encompasses a range of essential functions aimed at enhancing quality and patient safety initiatives in alignment with the hospital's overarching quality and safety objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve as the primary clinical representative in the Quality, Risk, and Compliance department, executing various quality and patient safety tasks.
- Leverage clinical nursing expertise to conduct thorough data analysis, contributing to the ongoing improvement of quality and safe patient care.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent certification from an accredited nursing institution.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program (preferred).
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Proven experience in participating in or leading quality improvement initiatives within a healthcare setting (preferred).
- Possession of an active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or a compact state RN license in good standing (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and effective communication.
- Current knowledge of Vermont nursing standards, as applicable.
