Position Overview

The Clinical Quality and Risk Management Specialist plays a pivotal role in the Quality, Risk, and Compliance department at Springfield Hospital Inc. This position is responsible for executing a range of quality assurance and patient safety initiatives that align with the hospital's overarching quality and safety objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary clinical representative within the Quality, Risk, and Compliance team, overseeing various quality and patient safety tasks.
  • Leverage clinical nursing expertise to analyze data, ensuring the ongoing enhancement of quality and safe patient care.
Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a certificate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (preferred).
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience.
  • Proven experience in participating in or leading quality improvement initiatives within a healthcare environment (preferred).
  • Possession of an active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or a compact state RN license in good standing (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on teamwork and effective communication.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Vermont nursing standards, as applicable.
