Seattle, Washington, United States Amazon Full time

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex software solutions that enable our customers to securely manage their identities and access to AWS resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solve challenging technical problems, often ones not solved before, at every layer of the stack.
  • Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security.
  • Build high-quality, highly available, always-on products.
  • Research implementations that deliver the best possible experiences for customers.

About the Team

We are the AWS IAM data plane team. We build and operate one of the largest and most important software systems in the world – one that is used by every AWS customer, makes authorization decisions about every AWS API request, and needs to scale with all other AWS services.

What We Offer

We offer a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will have the opportunity to work on complex technical problems, collaborate with a talented team of engineers, and contribute to the development of innovative software solutions.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
