Job Description

At Fernandez Community Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Peer Support Supervisor to lead our mental health services team. As a key member of our staff, you will oversee the delivery and quality of mental health services provided by Peer Support Specialists, ensuring compliance with service definitions and agency policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and monitor the performance and service delivery of Peer Support Specialists.
  • Provide monthly supervision and document progress according to the established supervision plan.
  • Develop and update Person-Centered Plans (PCP) in collaboration with individuals served and their natural supports.
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies, service definitions, and state regulations.
  • Facilitate team meetings, staff training, and ongoing professional development.
  • Monitor service notes for accuracy and adherence to medical necessity.
  • Serve as a quality control representative to maintain high standards of care and client satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategies to address barriers and enhance service delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and clients, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Actively participate in scheduled utilization reviews, team meetings, and supervision sessions.
  • Complete all required documentation and administrative tasks in a timely manner.
  • Monitor staff attendance.
  • Assist clients with linkage to community resources, support groups, and other services.
  • Provide input and leadership for program improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Must be a Certified Peer Support Specialist with experience working in a behavioral health or substance abuse setting.
  • Qualified Professional (QP) status under 10A NCAC 27G .0104 requirements.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health record systems.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel occasionally within the service area.
